Its in our culture to show modest in every action that we do.Our culture is so strict with the attitudes of the girls that belong to our cycle,it become a protector for the girl attitudes to act like a real lady.
Despite of the rules that need to be follow, its needed for those non Maranaos to understand the lifestyle of Maranao Girls,the treatment that required for the girls in our cycle.Understanding the culture can promote better communication.
I'm a Maranao girl,being one-there are lots of things need to sacrifice.Including the pain that you could feel in the name of love.
Love for me the only chosen word that can break any rule, but how could you follow your heart if your culture stop you to fall in love with other race. A culture full of colors together with a color that you can gain in the battle of love.
The world keep on changing,change is the only constant in this existence.But my culture treasured the arrange marriage practice in our tradition,it is the undying live out that wont change which i called the "love destroyer".
For those not member of our clan,it is advise able to know on how to deal with the Maranao girl,we Maranao girl are prohibited to shake and make an direct eye contact with the man that was not our first cousin,uncle,grandfather and not the father, a Maranao girl should marry a Maranao man.
Worst isn't it?,my culture become the dictator of our heart i do pity my self sometimes thinking that i might be falling in love with non-maranao man, but its part of my sacrifice i need to do. I'm just praying that i could win the war of love in my culture.
Being a Maranao Girl you are not allowed to laugh and talk so loudly in front of many people especially in facade of man, you should not walk so fast like a cheetah or like a walking horse,as possible you should walk with no sound and mostly its a sin if you seduce man because of your personal interest.
So many regulation that need to follow,you should be polite, follow the elders,follow the orders of Islam, and etc.As what i've observe you must be perfect to be one, so hard,too harsh....the more rules the more pain.But after all i'am proud i belong.Because my culture thought me to be a good follower and a better person.
